NOVEMBER EVENTS IN TOWN CENTER HIGHLIGHTED BY HOLIDAY ENTERTAINMENT

Town Center

  • The 25 th Annual Lighting of the Doves Festival officially kicks off the 2007 holiday in The Woodlands celebration; held November 17, 2007, from 3 – 9 pm, at Town Green Park; this festival of live performances from Boni's Dance Studio, In-Step Dance Studio and many more, a 100-foot, 3-lane snow hill, food, children's activities and interactive booths also features the arrival of Santa and a fantastic fireworks display.
  • International Winter On The Waterway (iWOW) debuts this year along The Woodlands Waterway and will feature live performances from Celtic band Needfire, Ballet Folklorico Azteca, bagpiper Shayla Mootz, Flamenco of Spain by Lucia y Valdemar, Brasilian Grupo Capoeira and many more, international foods, arts and crafts, music and entertainment. iWOW will add an international flavor to The Woodlands Town Center's holiday celebrations. Join us along The Woodlands Waterway, November 17 from 3 – 9 pm.
  • The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center is open daily November 15, 2007 – January 14, 2008 with a sneak peak November 10 and 11 in conjunction with the 13 th Annual Children's Festival. The Ice Rink is located at the corner of Six Pines and Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands, Texas. Hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 3 – 9 pm; Fridays, 3 – 11 pm; Saturdays, 10 am – 11 pm; and Sundays, noon until 7 pm. Tickets are $9.50 for adults and children and include skate rentals. Tickets for children under five are $5 including skate rentals. For more information on special holiday hours or daily promotions, call The Ice Rink hotline at (281) 419-5630.
  • Donoho's Jewellers Winter Wonderland allows visitors to follow the carpeted pathways through the two-acre area of lighted storybook displays surrounding The Ice Rink. Wander among the fantasyland of magical, lighted toy soldiers, elves, doves, musical angels and snowmen. Donoho's Jewellers Winter Wonderland is free and open daily from dusk until 11 p.m. beginning November 17 and running through January 2, 2008.

Market Street

  • 4 th Annual Tree Lighting- The holidays officially begin at Market Street on Thursday, November 15 from 6 – 8 pm as visitors enjoy music, snow showers, and a fireworks display at the 4 th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Central Park. A ceremonial lighting of the giant, 70-foot Christmas tree will take place just after 6:50 pm as Nobody's Fool helps get the crowd in a festive mood with a variety of holiday favorites. Santa's holiday elves also will delight visitors as they stroll through the park.
  • Santa Arrives - Santa Claus is coming to town from the North Pole and available to hear the holiday wishes and dreams of young visitors in Market Street daily beginning November 23 from 11 am – 7 pm. Santa will be located across from Learning Express in West Market Street.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion

  • 13 th Annual Children's Festival - The Pavilion is transformed into a giant playground of fun for the young and young at heart at the 13th Annual Children's Festival. Award-winning children's performers educate and entertain thousands of children during two days of non-stop fun and excitement. Saturday, November 10 beginning at 10 am and Sunday, November 11 beginning at noon.

The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center

  • Storybook Christmas - Once again, the culinary team at The Woodlands Resort will unveil a life-sized holiday scene made entirely of sweets, at its annual “Storybook Christmas” family event on Sunday, November 25 from 1 - 3 pm. The public is invited to the unveiling of a delightful scene of chocolate, marzipan, sugar, and gingerbread depicting a scene from Santa's Workshop.
  • Thanksgiving Day Brunch - The Woodlands Resort will feature a Thanksgiving Day Brunch from 10:30 am – 3:30 pm in The Woodlands Dining Room and The Glass. Brunch is $52.00 for adults, $22.00 for children 6-12 and $15.00 for children 2-5. Children under two are free. Prices do not include tax or gratuity. The Thanksgiving Day event will be hosted at The Woodlands Resort, 2301 North Millbend Drive. Reservations can be made by calling 281-364-6323.

The Woodlands Mall

  • Santa Arrives - Holly, Jolly Santa Claus is leaving the North Pole and settling down in his home-away-from-home at The Woodlands Mall. Beginning Thursday, November 8 in his bright, festive Studio, located on the lower level across from JCPenney. Santa will be ready to talk with all his visitors and take time to pose for photographs to commemorate the holidays. Please check the mall website for details and times.
