STREET CLOSING, PARKING OPTIONS ANNOUNCED FOR 23 rd ANNUAL LIGHTING OF THE DOVES FESTIVAL

 

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (October 28, 2005) . . . In an effort to ensure the safety of those attending the Thursday, November 17Lighting of the Doves Street Festival,the intersection of Lake Robbins Drive and Six Pines Drive will be closed that dayfrom 8:00 am until midnight.

Paid parking for the event will be available at the Town Center Parking Garage on Six Pines Drive adjacent to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Free parking is available at the Pavilion Orange, Yellow and Green lots.

The Lighting of the Doves Street Festival is sponsored by Community Association of The Woodlands and The Woodlands Town Center and is a street festival of lights, live music and great food. It officially kicks off the holiday season in Town Center with the lighting of giant doves at the festival site and the arrival of Santa Claus.

The Lighting of the Doves Street Festival includes the lighting of Donoho’s Jewellers Winter Wonderland and the opening of The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center.

Throughout the Lighting of the Doves event, Toys For Tots will accept unwrapped toys with a minimum value of $10. Visitors who bring a toy can skate free the evening of November 17.
