Nutcracker Event to Benefit The Woodlands Children’s Museum

Children are familiar with the holiday story of a young girl who meets The Nutcracker in her dreams. Many children will experience that excitement this holiday season when The Woodlands Ballet Theater and The Woodlands Children’s Museum bring The Nutcracker characters to Market Street in The Woodlands on Saturday, December 10th for a special fundraising event.

Beginning at 1:00 PM The Woodlands Ballet Theater will present excerpts from The Nutcracker in Market Street’s Central Park area. Dancers from The Nutcracker will mingle with guests at The Woodlands Children’s Museum and offer children and their families opportunities to talk about the story and view the extraordinary costumes that bring the characters to life. Stage props from the WBT production of The Nutcracker will be on display, too.

Admission to the museum will be free from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM during this special fundraising event. Proceeds from photographic packages offered by K4 Photography and photographer Krista Kaulfaus will be donated to The Woodlands Children’s Museum. The photographs will feature museum guests with a Nutcracker character in a stage set from the theater production. Children are encouraged to attend in ballet dress or Nutcracker costumes.
