MARKET STREET HOSTS HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES DECEMBER 9-15
Holiday fun continues at Market Street in The Woodlands Town Center with fun, FREE activities for the whole family. Don't miss out on these festive events that are sure to brighten the holiday season.
Events December 9 through 15 include:
December 9 The Woodlands Civic Ballet “Nutcracker”
2 pm The Woodlands Civic Ballet presents a holiday classic with excerpts from “The Nutcracker” under the direction of Karyn Simon-Poland. Parents, bring your cameras for a chance to take photos of your children with the Sugar Plum Fairy and other Nutcracker favorites after the performance.
December 9 Storm Force Dance
3:30 pm Storm Force Dance, a division of The Woodlands Dance Force, will present a high-energy Christmas variety show that includes singing and dancing performances. Under the direction of Tony Smith and Sarah Nave, this group includes 12 performers ages 10-22.
December 11 Cub Scout Caroling
6:30 pm Cub Scout Pack # 889, which includes scouts in grades 1-5, will perform a myriad of holiday tunes in Central Park under the direction of Den Leader Larry Morrison.
December 13 Girl Scout Caroling
7 pm More than 100 Woodland Forest and Majestic Forest Girl Scout Service Units will be performing Christmas Carols in Central Park. The performers range in age from 5-15.
December 15 Suzuki School of Music
11 am The Suzuki School of Music, which specializes in educating young musicians, will perform holiday favorites on a variety of string instruments. Fifteen students, ages 5-14 will participate under the direction of Lea Gordon.
December 15 Storm Force Dance
12 pm Storm Force Dance, a division of The Woodlands Dance Force, will present a high-energy Christmas variety show that includes singing and dancing performances. Under the direction of Tony Smith and Sarah Nave, this group includes 12 performers ages 10-22.
KTWL-BOB FM 105.3 will be playing tunes from a remote location van in Central Park from 1 – 3 pm on December 15. BOB FM is the exclusive radio station for The Woodlands.
Located across the street from The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, Market Street is bounded by Lake Woodlands Drive, Lake Robbins Drive, Grogan's Mill Road and Six Pines Drive.
