NATIONAL CHARITY ROUNDTABLE TO HOST ACCOLADE CEREMONY AT MARKET STREET SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23
THE WOODLANDS, TX. (October 11, 2005) . . .The community is invited to congratulate junior-year members of National Charity Roundtable as they are knighted to join the Knights of the Roundtable on Sunday, October 23 in Market Street’s Central Park from 3-5 pm.
The Accolade Ceremony serves to promote junior “squires” to “knights” and is similar to a 14 th century tradition held in King Arthur’s Court. Announcements and awards and the traditional candle lighting precede the ceremony.
National Charity Roundtable is a group of Woodlands-area young men, grades 7-12, and their parents who serve the community through philanthropy.
National Charity Roundtable was established in The Woodlands in June of 2001 and continues to provide members with excellent philanthropic and enlightening educational and cultural experiences.
“Since Market Street and its beautiful surroundings is host to many community gatherings, we thought it a perfect venue to grant notice of our young men so citizens of The Woodlands can share in the accolades so deserved by our students and the follow on celebration. Join us after the knighting for dessert and refreshments and find out how your sons can become members of a chapter.” stated Nahla Williamson, President of the National Charity Roundtable Executive Board.
Located across the street from The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, Market Street is bounded by Lake Woodlands Drive, Lake Robbins Drive, Grogan’s Mill Road and Six Pines Drive.
