Houston Symphony performs A
“Spooktacular” Symphony at The Pavilion
The Woodlands, TX – Spooky Halloween sounds haunt The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at “Hocus Pocus Pops!” Join family and friends for a night of tricks, treats and enchanting music as the Houston Symphony, led by the bewitching Michael Krajewski, casts a magical spell Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
Krajewski waves his magical baton and leads the Houston Symphony in familiar favorites such as “Imperial March” from “The Empire Strikes Back,” the Theme from “Ghostbusters,” and “In the Hall of the Mountain King” from “Peer Gynt.” Audiences will recognize “Hedwig’s Flight” and “Harry’s Wonderful World,” both from “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” The program also includes Waxman’s “Creation of the Female Monster” from “The Bride of Frankenstein” and selections from Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera.” Daddies, mummies and all the little ghosts and goblins are invited to dress up and march in the Goblin Parade during the concert! Children can walk across the stage while the Symphony performs Shastakovich’s “Polka” from “Suite from The Golden Age,” Opus 22, No. 3.
