Caillou is the adorable little boy with a great big imagination. He is considered a best friend by millions of preschoolers all over the world and you are invited to his special party! Joining Caillou is his younger sister Rosie, Julie the babysitter, and his lovable cat - Gilbert! This show inspires children and parents to use their imagination as they sing songs about friendship, fun games, reading books and animals. Make sure you bring your dancing shoes for the Wiggly Woo! Franklin the Turtle “Live in Concert”

Franklin the Turtle has been a favorite among children for years on television and in books. Now, Franklin and several of his friends are live on-stage in a full-length musical production! It’s time for the annual Class Concert and everyone is performing, but Franklin thinks he does not have a talent. On top of that, the concert is much earlier this year than expected. Audiences become part of the action as Franklin and his friends bring the big concert together with just minutes to spare. The Mammoth Follies
The Mammoth Follies explores the wonders of the great age of the dinosaur in the old-fashioned style of a vaudeville revue featuring original songs, witty jokes and earth-smashing dances performed by giant dinosaur puppets. Smiley the Saber-Toothed Tiger, Bessie the 22-foot-long Brontosaurus, Tony and Trixie Triceratops, Terry the Pterodactyl, and the11-foot-tall T. Rex, along with your host, Willie Mammoth, take the audience on a musical trip through pre-history. Dramatizing historic and scientific facts, as well as some myths, about dinosaurs, The Mammoth Follies brings drama, dance, humor and song together to educate and entertain. “There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom”
Based on the popular children's novel by Louis Sachar, "There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom" introduces us to Bradley Chalkers, Redhill Academy's infamous outcast. He pulls girls' hair, tells lies, and absolutely never does his homework. He manages to be such a bully, in fact, that his only friends are imaginary. Also new to the school is Carla Davis, a guidance counselor who believes in building relationships with students by treating them as equals. Through imaginative play and heartfelt discussion, Carla inspires Bradley to find the good within himself that can be shared with his classmates. This valuable discovery enables Bradley to make amends and form new friendships with other students. This is the funny and touching story about everyone’s struggle to believe in themselves. Fitness Expert Scott Cole
From “Abs of Steel” to “Discover Tai Chi,” internationally recognized fitness expert and native Houstonian, Scott Cole, brings a fit twist to the 11 th Annual Children’s Festival. Cole’s program, “Get Fit America for Kids,” inspires children into physical activity by blending yoga, Tai Chi, cardio, conditioning and stretching exercises while imparting self-esteem lessons. Featured on ABC’s “The View,” Cole teaches children to perform the yoga tree pose, to relax into Tai Chi’s “snake creeps down,” and to embody his own “monkey bear” creation, complete with loud animal noises. 1:45 p.m. Saturday and 3:15 p.m.Sunday on the Cooper Industries Main Stage
Lucas Miller, The Singing Zoologist
Dr. Doolittle meets Bruce Springsteen when author, songwriter and award-winning recording artist Lucas Miller hits the stage with his innovative and interactive children's songs! Teaching life lessons about wildlife and conservation, Miller, who holds a B.A. in zoology, brings ecology to life in a wildly animated style. Captivating the children with puppets, a guitar and a few wacky hats, Miller teaches about monarch butterflies, wetlands, animal defenses, endangered species and other nature-related topics in a way that delights kids of all ages. A Parents' Choice award winner, Miller also was named "Best New Artist for Older Children" in the 2001 Children's Music Web Awards. 12:45 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday on the Cooper Industries Main Stage
Michael Cooper
He has multiple heads and a humorous, energetic style! Michael Cooper is an eye-popping visual artist and a virtuoso mime whose exquisite performances of humor and poignancy, nimble speech and eloquent gesture have dazzled audiences for 30 years. His one-man extravaganza, “Masked Marvels & Wondertales,” is as subtle as it is high speed. The show features breathtaking handcrafted masks, outlandish stilt dancing and a physical repertoire that ranges from the madcap to the sublime. His use of captivating stories told in prose, poetry and mime are funny and moving. By combining these elements, he has designed a program that encourages creativity, compassion and a greater sense of self-worth. Only available for school day performances. Not open to the public.
“Fire and Ice”
“Fire and Ice” is a thrilling, fast-paced, high-energy science presentation that dazzles children with giant beach balls floating in mid-air, flashy reactions that go “poof” and more! Students explore exciting chemical changes by melting an alien’s head while Eggbert, the Mad Scientist, demonstrates the wonders of air pressure and the science behind fireworks. Students love this spectacular interactive science show that captivates audiences and delivers extraordinary experiences! The finale includes a huge bubbling potion that leaves kids excited about science and learning! Brought to you by Mad Science of Houston. Only available for school day performances.
