THE WOODLANDS WILDFLOWER FESTIVAL
TO BLOOM IN COCHRAN’S CROSSING

THE WOODLANDS, TX – (Friday, October 28, 2005) – Collect 20 different varieties of free wildflower seeds, distributed by local businesses at The Woodlands Wildflower Festival, an annual tradition set for Saturday, November 5, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cochran’s Crossing Shopping Center, according to Susan Vreeland-Wendt, director of marketing for The Woodlands Development Company (TWDC).

Festival-goers will enjoy displays of native plants, environmental exhibits and booths with nature-related gift items for sale. Children will enjoy a free petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and a balloon artist. Puffy Pine Cone, lovable mascot of The Woodlands, will make a special appearance from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to pose for free pictures with the children and distribute free gifts while supplies last.

The official Wildflower Festival poster and tee shirt will be on sale at The Woodlands Lions Club booth.

The merchants at Cochran’s Crossing Shopping Center are the presenting sponsors while The Brickman Group, Ltd., a local landscaping company, is the participating sponsor. The Woodlands Lions Club and TWDC are the hosts of this festival.

Cochran’s Crossing Shopping Center is located at 4747 Research Forest Drive at the intersection of Gosling Road.
