SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO THE WOODLANDS MALL ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15

On Wednesday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m., Santa Claus will settle into his cozy home-away-from-the North Pole in Future Court at The Woodlands Mall. Jolly as always, he'll be ready for visitors, listening to special dreams and wishes and posing for pictures to commemorate Christmas 2006.

Everyone can enjoy visiting with Santa through Saturday, December 24 when he leaves to distribute gifts around the world. While he's at The Woodlands Mall, he'll be listening to wish lists and posing for photographs. For a list of photography prices, visit www.thewoodlandsmall.com.

“We always try to bring a little magic for our shoppers and visitors at this time of year. Santa is just the start of the fun. There's snow, singing, a chance to win a surprise visit from jolly St. Nick himself, plus this year, we're hosting Pet Night, so pet owners can bring cats and dogs to have photos with Santa, too,” says Kristi Resendez, marketing manager of The Woodlands Mall. “We also hope everyone will stop at The Giving Tree and adopt someone to share the spirit of giving.”

Call Frosty. Santa's bringing snow. The forecast at The Woodlands Mall malls is snow. Flurries of fun, faux snow will fall throughout the season. The flurries fly daily beginning Monday, November 13 through Saturday, December 24. And, there are two locations to catch the fun: at the Santa set in Future Court and just outside at entrance to The Courtyard Shops. Times are 11:00 a.m.; 2:00, 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Call everyone. Second Extreme Santa Sweepstakes during the month of November. Santa wants everyone to stop by The Woodlands Mall and register to win a special, in-person delivery of holiday gifts. One citywide winner will be chosen from all the entries at The Woodlands Mall, Baybrook Mall, Deerbrook Mall, First Colony Mall and Willowbrook Mall. Visitors can register during mall hours from Wednesday, November 1 through Thursday, November 30 at various venues at any of the shopping centers. No purchase necessary.

Call Rudolph. Santa's hosting Pet Night on Mondays. On Mondays throughout the holiday season, cats and dogs are invited to come and have their pictures taken with Santa Claus at The Woodlands Mall. Dress up the family and the pets in holiday finery and join the fun Mondays, November 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; and November 27 and December 4, 11, and 18 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Call Santa's elves. The shopping center is opening at 6:00 a.m. on the Friday after Thanksgiving and offering The Woodlands Mall Gift Cards for the first 1,000 shoppers. The first 1,000 shoppers through the North Main entrance next to Talbots at 6:00 a.m. will receive Gift Cards worth $10 and two lucky shoppers will receive Gift Cards worth $500 each. Recipients must be 18 years or older; one Gift Card per shopper.

The shopping center will open early and close late through the end of the year. For exact times, visit www.thewoodlandsmall.com. The Woodlands Mall will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24.

Call generous friends. The Giving Tree begins Friday, November 24. Through Saturday, December 16, The Giving Tree will be staffed by Salvation Army volunteers who will be collecting gifts to share the holiday season with children and seniors in need. The tree is decorated with angel tags each of which has the wish list of a child, aged newborn to 13, or a senior citizen who is an area nursing facility. Donors choose an angel, purchase items from the list and return the donations to the shopping center.

 

Call the collectors. New Lenox 2006 Tree of Jewels ornament with purchase begins Friday, November 24. Shoppers who spend $300 or more at any two The Woodlands Mall will receive a special, limited edition Lenox ornament. Same-day receipts should be submitted at Customer Service in Center Court. Ornaments are available while supplies last.

There's more fun, too. Through Sunday, December 24, The Woodlands Mall will feature various singing and musical groups, host a Gift Wrap Center and sell GGP Gift Cards to please anyone on the list.
