OUTDOOR ICE SKATING IN THE WOODLANDS TOWN CENTER
THE WOODLANDS, Texas (October 31, 2003) - Even in Houston's not-always-so-cold holiday season, skilled and novice ice skaters alike can enjoy the beauty of an outdoor rink in The Woodlands Town Center.
The Woodlands Town Center is home to the 5th annual presentation of The Ice Rink, a favorite holiday venue, which entertained over 70,000 visitors last year. It measures 60 feet by 132 feet and is the largest outdoor ice rink in the Southwest. The Ice Rink opens at a new location on the corner of Six Pines and Lake Robbins next door to Tinseltown 17 and across the street from The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. Daily schedules and rates follow:

Thursday, November 20, 2003 through Monday, January 19, 2004
- Monday through Thursday......3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Fridays ............................. 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturdays ......................... 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sundays ............................ Noon to 7 p.m.
Except for the following days during the Season:
- School Holidays................... 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Thanksgiving Day ................ 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Christmas Eve .................... 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Christmas Day ...................... Closed
- New Years Eve .................. 12 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Rates (admission/rental fees) for a 2-hour skate session.
1-19 people - $6.50 admission + $1.50 per person skate rental = $8 per person
20-40 people - $4.50 + $1.50 for skate rental = $6 per person
41-100 people - $4.00 + $1.00 for skate rental = $5 per person
Non-profit organizations - 1-19 people - $5.00 + $1.50 per person skate rental +
$6.50 per person (group rates apply thereafter)
Ages 3 and under - $3.00 per child and includes skate rental
The Ice Rink is also available for private parties. Reservations for groups or to rent the facility must be received 7-days in advance. Rental cost of the facility for a 2-hour period is $300 plus the cost of admission, skate rental, food and beverages.
Private lessons are offered by skating professionals. To make schedule lessons or for more information, call The Ice Rink at 281-419-5630.
Relax with your coffee, latté or hot chocolate under the covered outdoor patio that has been added to The Ice Rink this season. Tables can be reserved on the public plaza for $10 per table by calling 281-419-5630.
