MARKET STREET ANNOUNCES LINE UP OF PERFORMERS FOR FALL CENTRAL PARK CONCERT SERIES

Get your blankets and lawn chairs ready!

The Fall Central Park Concert Series at Market Street kicks off September 21 and continues every Thursday through November 9 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

This year’s line up of free performances includes renowned musicians presenting jazz, Motown, rhythm and blues – something for everyone – in the relaxing setting of Market Street’s Central Park.

The schedule of performers includes:

September 21 The Brew

Michael Rodriguez, leader and featured guitarist of The Brew, is one today’s most extraordinary talents on both acoustic and electric guitar.

September 28 Ray Davis Blues

The Ray Davis & Pocketful of Blues band creates an original mix of jazz, funk, reggae, Motown, and blues.

October 5 Kyle Turner

T his contemporary jazz saxophonist has shared the stage with the likes of Luther Vandross, Bobby Lyle and Kirk Whalum.

October 12 The Road Crew

This seven-member band hails from Dallas and specializes in Motown and groovin’ 70’s dance hits.

October 19 Luther & The Healers

Boogie with this versatile band that frequently plays at Houston-area hotspots.

October 26 Davis Caceras

David Caceras and his six-piece jazz band have become one of the most sought-after in Houston.

November 2 Doppelganger

These seasoned band members are professionals at getting the party started. Doppelganger has performed with Bill Cosby, Bob Hope, The Glenn Miller Orchestra and many others.

A complete performance list will be available during the next several weeks.

Parking for the concert can be found in the Market Street parking garage located adjacent to the movie theater.

Located across the street from The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, Market Street is bounded by Lake Woodlands Drive, Lake Robbins Drive, Grogan’s Mill Road and Six Pines Drive.
