International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) Announces 2005 Pinnacle Award Winners
Boise, Idaho- The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) paid tribute to several community events produced by The Woodlands Town Center Improvement District in The Woodlands, Texas on September 14 th, 2005 during the IFEA’s Miller Brewing Company Hall of Fame Luncheon held at the IFEA’s 50 th Anniversary Reunion Convention & Expo, Presented by Kolorview in San Antonio, TX – September 12-16 th, 2005, where they were presented with seven awards in the prestigious IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards competition. Awards were won in the following categories, for events with budgets of $250,000 - $499.999
Gold – Best Single Magazine Display Ad for The Ice Rink
Gold – Best Single Magazine Display Ad for Lighting of The Doves Event
Gold – Best Miscellaneous Printed Materials (single page) for Paint the Town Green invitation
Gold – Best Solicitation Package for The Red, Hot & Blue July 4 th Festival
Silver – Best Single Magazine Display Ad for The Ice Rink
Silver – Best Solicitation Package for The Ice Rink
Bronze – Best Sponsor Solicitation Video for The Red, Hot & Blue July 4 th Festival
Sponsored by industry leader Haas & Wilkerson Insurance, the professional competition drew 1,510 entries this year from among the world’s top festivals and events.

Winning entries came from organizations as diverse as The Pasadena Tournament of Roses, OR; The Anchorage Fur Rendezvous in Anchorage, AK; The Kentucky Derby Festival, Louisville, KY; Memphis in May, Memphis, TN; Borderfest, Hidalgo, TX; Fiesta San Antonio, San Antonio, TX; Autumn Leaf Festival, Clarion, PA; Des Moines Arts Festival, Des Moines, IA; and the Walt Disney World, Orlando, FL. International contenders included such diverse event organizations as International Festival Lent, Maribor, Slovenia; Sentosa Resort, Singapore; The Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festival, Beijing, China; Rotterdam Festival, Rotterdame, The Netherlands, and the National Capital Commission, Ottowa, Canada. Entries included posters, merchandise, websites, print and broadcast ads, volunteer programs, community outreach programs, and many other categories.
